The design of Table Moonc commences from my interest in Astrology Arts. The mysterious feminine energy and the range of symbolisms are what I want to capture in my piece. I want to experiment with the shadow and reflection created from light the glass. The traveling of the sun allows for the ever-changing shadow and reflection, just like the changing state of the universe.
I draw inspiration for the form from the iconic table designed by the Irish designer Eileen Gray. The base frame of this table was stainless steel, bent, and welded. The mirror was supported by two hidden tabs and secured between the pearl and the bottom rod to create a floating effect.
